We are a ministry mainly of and for Asian American students dedicated to Biblically exploring, challenging, and celebrating Asian American culture and identity though we welcome people of all backgrounds and ethnicities. We are pan-ethnic and seek to witness to Asian Americans and the Asian American community at the UW.
As a student-led campus ministry, we work alongside our sister InterVarsity chapters at the UW as well as other Christian ministries and churches in Madison toward seeing the whole campus renewed.
Vision
To see students and faculty transformed, the UW-Madison campus renewed, and world-changers developed.
Purpose
In response to God’s love, grace and truth:
The purpose of Asian American InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is to establish and advance at the UW an Asian American witnessing community that follows Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture and God’s purposes in the world.
Intervarsity
We are affiliated with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA, an interdenominational national movement of similar student groups and a founding member of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students. We affirm InterVarsity’s vision, purpose, and values along with several InterVarsity chapters here at the UW and at over 500 other college and university campuses throughout the country.
Christian Fellowship
With our brothers and sisters in the global body of Christ, we hope to grow together as a community in seeking, following, and sharing Jesus Christ according to the historic Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Bible. Our leaders fully affirm InterVarsity’s doctrinal basis.
